Home '40 Chevy '98 Mazda B3000 '48 Studebaker

Besides bikes, and tractors, I'm into trucks. There's the daily driver, the first resto project (which, unfortunately never got off the ground), and the second (and probably final) resto project.

The daily driver is a '98 Mazda B3000 (AKA: Ford Ranger). I had no intention to buy at truck at that farm auction, but it was a good deal on a brand new truck, so I did.

The first resto project was a '48 Studebaker M16. We had grand plans for that beast, but had nothing to work with. The body was obviously totally shot. That would have been okay if the engine/chassis was okay. Unfortunately, the engine was also shot. Opportunity knocked while we were contemplating our next move and offered a quick solution. A Studebaker collector stopped by and asked to purchase it for parts. The $50 I got in the deal paid for our expenses and left us with a total profit of 38 cents.

The second resto project is a '40 Chevy pickup. It had a good engine and chassis, but the body was pretty rough. It's been five years now and I'm still working on it. I finally got the body fixed up and we are now rebuilding the rest of the truck.
